How often is Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) successful?

The success of ART-IVF in general is dependent on several factors such as patient factors and clinic factors.

Coming to the patient factors, the age of the female partner is very important as if the female partners age is less than 35 years of age then when 2 good quality embryos are replaced the success in good clinics are around 60% in one cycle of IVF.

The other parameters in the female partner which influences success of ART is the indication why IVF was suggested in the first place. In women with tubal factor or PCOS the results are better for example as compared to unexplained sub fertility.



The quality of eggs and the number of eggs or ovarian reserve is also very important for success. To track ovulation, firstly the cycles or periods have to be regular.
